After a smashing performance last year by the real-life couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, Baaghi 3 is all set to kick-start soon. With the former pair in place, Tiger and Shraddha Kapoor who featured in the first installment will be seen as the romantic duo yet again. While more details about the movie have been surfacing on the web, it so happens that Riteish Deshmukh has been confirmed to work in the action thriller.

Sharing the confirmation, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Riteish Deshmukh joins #Baaghi3… Stars Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor… Directed by Ahmed Khan… #Baaghi3 is Riteish’s sixth film with producer Sajid Nadiadwala.” As the film is currently in the pre-production phase, director Ahmed Khan had recently visited Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, to the recce.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala told Mumbai Mirror, “Riteish has always been a part of my Housefull franchise and now joins the Baaghi clan as well. Baaghi 3 will be my sixth film with him after Heyy Babyy and four installments of Housefull. We share a great relationship and it was a pleasure writing Lai Bhaari (Riteish’s 2014 Marathi action-drama) for him.”

Ritesh will be seen reuniting with his Ek Villian co-star Shraddha, and according to a source close to the development, the actor is set to play Tiger’s brother. As per the report, the readings are slated to take place closer to the shooting date which has been tentatively scheduled for August.

On the work front, Riteish has recently wrapped up shooting for Marjaavaan, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. He will also be seen in Housefull 4 featuring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Kharbanda, Kriti Sanon, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Deol, and Rana Daggubati.

Baaghi 3, which is expected to feature some high-octane action sequences, will have Tiger undergo extensive prep. He told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s definitely a pressure that we have to scale up every time. Not many people have been a part of a franchise so early on in their career, so the pressure was bigger because I had just stepped in the industry and my second project turned out to be a franchise film, and since then, I had to take that forward.”

The song Cham Cham Cham, which was a romantic song from Baaghi, will be recreated for the film. It is scheduled to hit the screens on March 6, 2020.
